Family Law is Moving

Starting April 7, 2008

New Watsonville Courthouse:

Most family law filings and court dates will now take place at the new Watsonville Courthouse located at One Second Street, Watsonville, CA (downtown Watsonville).

Santa Cruz Courthouse:

Family law documents can be received only at the Santa Cruz Court at the clerk’s office at 701 Ocean Street, Room 110.

· Documents will NOT be reviewed or filed in Santa Cruz. This means if you drop off documents in Santa Cruz you must return to pick them up. They may also be returned unfiled if there were any mistakes that need correction.

· If it is your last day to file you need to file in Watsonville (there is no guarantee how quickly documents in Santa Cruz will be taken to Watsonville for filing).

· You may file a request for a domestic violence restraining order at either court. If filing in Santa Cruz the paperwork must be filed no later than 10 am.
